Verandas and Carports at Halloween
With Halloween soon approaching I thought this would be a great time to point out how our verandas and carports can be incorporated into the seasons, not only in a practical way, but also in a creative way too.
If you’re a fan of a good party or simply love Halloween, then chances are you will already have something planned. If you’re holding a party or gathering at home, your veranda can play a big part of the occasion.
As usual, the seasons have shifted rather abruptly, but that’s no reason to stay indoors; a veranda helps to deter wind (depending on the direction it’s blowing from) and shelters you from the rain. If you chose to have outdoor heaters and lights installed with your veranda, then you have the perfect combination for a Halloween gathering.
You can host some or all of your party outside under your veranda, whilst keeping sheltered from the weather, allowing it to go ahead even if ‘mother nature’ ‘trick or treat’s’ us with a sudden downpour.
It’s not only your carport that you can incorporate into Halloween. If you’re not the party type but still love Halloween and have a carport installed, you can create a creepy display using spooky accessories and a selection of fabrics. Who says decorating the outside of your house is only for Christmas ay?
…You could prop scary items under your carport which can be found at stores and supermarkets across the country, and drape dark netty fabrics and spider web effect fabrics around the posts and roof of your carport. Please remember to be careful when attaching any fabrics or items, tampering with you structure can invalidate the guarantee. Fabrics can be tied to the posts rather than fixing hooks and screws to them.
